Strikes, Delivery Issues and Christmas Gifts
We’ve all seen those films where the stressed out husband is frantically trying to get to the shops before they close on Christmas Eve! Does anybody do that?
Christmas is such a joyous time of year! In fact it’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! A time to put your feet up and chill out. Not a time to get stressed out.

When I think about High Street shopping I do get excited, but recent visits to the High Street have been particularly fruitless, maybe because I get waylaid by the Mulled Wine and pop up Gin Bars! In fact it makes me wonder “How did we manage before we had e-commerce?” I love that there is still a choice and there are certain things that you need to see and touch before you buy but there are other gifts that are just perfect for online shopping. Royal Mail strikes! Now I’m not going to go into the politics of that, after all everyone wants a good life with good working conditions so that debate is for another time and another place, but it is having a big effect on sales as people are concerned about whether their purchases will arrive in time!
Research shows that even after Covid many people still prefer to shop online but because of the mail strikes will you prefer the High Street this year?
